Product Questions

  1. PRT-N in a bathroom

    Posted by Gary Wilcockson on 6th Apr 2010

    Q: I would like to fit a PRT-N thermostat in a bathroom its a low condensation room will it be ok

    A: From a regulations point of view, its fine. However the unit is not IP rated and so any moisture will damage the electronics. You should be careful where you position the thermostat.

  2. Siting in Bathroom

    Posted by Cal on 1st Aug 2009

    Q: Is this thermostat suitable for a bathroom? If not, is there another thermostat that I can use in the bathroom? Thanks.

    A: You can, but if there is a high level of condensation we wouldnt recommend it. So, you have 2 options;

    Install our PRT-EN in the adjacent room and install the probe in the bathroom.

    Install our PRT2-NTS which is our 2 zone model which can control the bedroom and en-suite. This model is supplied with a remote sensor for the en-suite.
