What`s new in v3 ?

  • Home/Away Function - Clicking the Away button will now place every room into setback mode and will turn the hot-water off. On your return, you can press Home and the system will revert back to the programmed settings. This function is also compatible with the Touchpad - so you can place the system in Home or Away mode from either device.

  • Temperature Hold -  You can now program to hold a required temperature for a certain period. You can then apply this to individual rooms or a group

Minimum Requirement

A broadband router
Port forwarding facility

Ideal Requirement

Obtaining a Fixed IP Address off your ISP is the easiest way of enabling remote access of your Heatmiser Netmonitor. However, if this isnt possible please read the sections at the bottom of this page as there are alternative methods.

Fixed or Dynamic IP Address - What is the difference ?

Think of a fixed IP address as the internet equivalent to your phone number. Without a fixed phone number, you would never receive any calls.  With a dynamic IP address, you would never know the location of your PC on the internet and therefore couldn't connect to it.

The Free Solution

If your ISP only provides a Dynamic IP address (it changes each time) then you have another option. There is a service called Dynamic DNS. This is a third party service provider which logs and updates its database with your current IP address.
