This sensor can be used to measure air and floor temperature. This probe is supplied with a 3 meter cable which can be extended to 20 meters if required.

Q: Hi, we want to use these in a 'thimble' housing for discreteness. Is there any way to extend past the 20m limit?
A: We only recommend 20 meters, beyond this we can guarantee accuracy.

Q: It is stated that extending the remote sensor cable to 20-metres is OK but what is the specification for the type of cable?
A: You should use a twin screened cable
Q: Does the extended cable need to be routed away from other wires that could induce noise into the sensor circuit (such as a ring main cable)?
A: Yes, it is always advisable
Q: Does the sensor have to be treated as 'live' - and how does that affect its installation into (for example) a bathroom? Could the sensor by installed in zone 1 of a bathroom?
A: It is not a live cable, and so is perfectly fine in a bathroom.
