Installation

The WiFi Thermostats are flush mounting, therefore a 25mm back box is required.

Questions:

Q: What are the wiring requirements of this thermostat.

A: It requires 230v (L,N) to power the thermostat, and then it offers a volt free changeover contact for the heating circuit and volt free changeover for the hot water circuit.

Q: I already have a Heatmiser PRT/PRT-TS installed and would like to upgrade to this model, is that possible?

A: To control your heating and hot water from a single point, you would require 4 wires, excluding the earth. If you are upgrading from an existing thermostat, it is unlikely that you have this. We would suggest consulting with a heating engineer prior to ordering this model.

Q: Do I need anything else to control my heating from the web or iPhone app?

A: You will need a WiFi router with port forwarding facility (most do) and if you don't have a fixed IP from your internet supplier, you will need to use a service called DynDNS. Don't worry - although we can't offer support on individual routers, we can certainly point you in the right direction.

Q: Can I setup the thermostat using a MAC?

A: Yes. Our WiFi Thermostats running the latest firmware can be setup on a MAC.

Q: Where do I get the iPhone app, and how much does it cost?

A: You get this from the AppStore from your iPhone. It is a free app.

Q: Where to I get the Android App?

A: It is in Google Play Store. It is a free app.
